[New York] New Chow Chao

Located on 111 Mott Street in Chinatown, I descended upon New Chow Chao after reading from Ed Levine. He said the Wonton Soup was fabulous so I ordered a bowl. It arrived looking like this…

About ten fat wontons sitting on a bed of bean sprouts. I hate bean sprouts. Their crunchiness and smell irks me. Anyhow those lovely wontons managed to help me ignore the sprouts.

Don’t they look like a goldfish? Hah!

Biting into it I realised it was so meaty! Definitely worth the US$4.25.

The only problem I had with it was the thick skin.
